Who are you going to be in 2022
WHO ARE YOU GOING TO BE IN 2022?
Have you thought about who you want to be or what you want to do next year?Ā I am not just talking about what you think your goals are going to be.Ā Often they are the same year after year, but in the end nothing changes.Ā The first few weeks or maybe month you are going strong on your goals and then you falter, you slow down or just give up altogether.
Achieving your goals
In order to really get successful in achieving your goals you are going to have to be the person who has already attained that goal.Ā You will have to live into that person.Ā The reason I say this is people often do achieve their goals, they lose the weight, they get traction on their fitness goals, they make more money and before too long, they pick up the weight, lose the money or something happens and they put a halt to their goals.
To really be effective in achieving your goals and moving forward, you literally have to live them, eat, sleep thinking about them.Ā Motivational quotes, articles and willpower will only take you so far.Ā When that runs out you have to have created a stick-to-itiveness to keep you going for the rest of the way.
Firstly
You have to imagine what it would be like to already have that goal, already āliveā in your dream houseā, feel slim, have the kind of money you are dreaming of.
Do not skip this process
Imagine what you would do, where would you go, who would you speak to, what would you spend your money on, what would you be thinking.Ā Do not skip this process.Ā Even though you may not know exactly what it would look like, give it a good go.Ā Sometimes the real thing actually surpasses your dreams and imagination.
Secondly
You would act as if you already have achieved your goal. So if you are looking to lose weight, do you think a naturally slim person would be reading diet books, would they be going for seconds, would they eat a whole slab of chocolateā¦probably not.Ā They would probably eat slowly and stop when they are elegantly satisfied.Ā They would probably choose a healthier option off the menu.Ā They would probably want to move their bodies and be grateful that they are healthy.
If you did any of the above suggestions the weight would probably just melt off you.Ā Why?Ā Because you are thinking as a naturally slim woman would think.
For me, I have three very good questions stuck up in my office as a reminder of the woman whom I want to become and Iāll share these with you.Ā I am not exactly sure where I got them from, but they encompass 3 important things for me ā choices, actions and thoughts:
- Does this choice fit my dreams, my desires and who I want to become?
- Does this action flatter my body, mind and spirit, my values, and the way I want to show up in the world?
- Does this thought belong in my future or will it only take me further away from what I want to cultivate in my one precious life?

This may seem short, but you will be surprised at how much can be accomplished.
Your thoughts are so important
As mentioned many times before in this blog, your thoughts are so important, because they cause your feelings which in turn leads to your actions, which lead to your results.Ā What????Ā This is so good!Ā A negative thought never leads to a positive result.
So when you are imagining living your goals, you need to pay attention to how you are thinking and feeling.Ā If you imagine living in your dream house and you keep thinking, thatās just impossible, guess what?Ā You probably will never get there.Ā But if you are thinking positive thoughts and you get excited at the prospect of your dream house, you are well on your way there.
Donāt beat yourself up if you canāt really imagine things yet, it takes practice and this process is so fun.Ā Just keep at it all the time, before you know it you will be that woman who is slim or makes good money or who travels the world.Ā Keep looking ahead and imagining her.
