What did you create in 2022?
It is so important to reflect back on the year and really pay attention to what you did, what worked, what didn’t and most importantly what you created that was not in existence at the beginning of the year.
We are mostly so focused on the future and where we want to go, that we forget to give ourselves a moment and just take stock. If you forget to take stock you can’t tell how far you have come or even if you are heading in the right direction.
End of the Year
When the end of the year came, I could barely remember all I had done, but on reflection I realized that this year was one of the most amazing one’s I have had in a long time. I travelled extensively, which is one of the items on my goal list. I got to experience the most magnificent places in our country as well as a couple of overseas trips.
I got to meet the most amazing people and count some of them as fast friends now. Sometimes you have to put yourself in different situations and surroundings in order to meet extraordinary people.Â
While I love travelling, it is also not the easiest thing to do. There are times when things go wrong, you miss a turn off, land up at accommodation that is severely lacking or a drive is more challenging than you expected.
I created the travel experience for myself and embrace even the challenging moments, because despite them, I got so much more than just the travel itself. The experiences, the friends, the connections, the beauty and most of all the fun.
Something else I created this past year, was an environment in which my son, who is autistic, could thrive. If you are a mama to an autistic kiddy, you know that you can’t just find answers in a doctors’ office or from a book.
It’s a trial and error journey as they are all so diverse and you have to figure out what works for your kiddo.
What did you creatre in 2022?
The support system we now have in place is nothing short of a miracle. He is happy in his new school, his therapists and doctor are “rock stars”, as he calls them. It has unlocked this little mystery box that is my son and getting to know him has been the most beautiful, extraordinary experience. I absolutely cannot wait for the next episode.
My coaching business has also gone from strength to strength and while I still have a long way to go, I am so proud of myself for showing up day after day, doing the things I said I was going to do and creating evidence that I can run a successful business. I also have so many exciting things planned for the year and can’t wait to share them with you.

You may have heard that I got engaged this past year, to the most amazing man. I have mentioned my previous relationship challenges and am proud to say that I have done the work to create an amazing and lasting relationship. Obviously, my guy is completely instrumental in creating it too. It is so refreshing to be able to talk to someone who has the same values and is open to keep growing and changing as we go.
We have not set a date as yet, but you will be kept updated as to when the happy event will take place.
So these are some of the things I have created this past year. What have you created? Bear in mind that they do not have to be big events or situations. Each of us have different things that challenge us. You may have just healed from health scare, or celebrating walking 2km every day or taking some time out for yourself.
I want you to look back at your year and celebrate the things you have created, things that have changed you as a person or even just realizations you have come to that could potentially change your life.
