UPLEVEL YOUR ENERGY
What do your energy levels look like on a scale from 1-10? I am not talking just about your physical energy, but your emotional and environmental energy too. Sometimes we forget that there are quite a few things that drain your energy without you realizing it. You need energy for everything in your life, you are energy! The quality of your life is determined by your energy.
So if your energy levels are not ideal, my question is: what would you like your energy level to be in 30 days time? What would you need to do and let go of to reach this goal? To get to this you have to embody the energy of the future you now!
Your thought/emotional energy
Let’s talk about your thought/emotional energy. Every single thought you have creates a feeling in you and that feeling has a vibrational energy. This in turn causes you to take action or none at all. Now if you think something for long enough you start to make it a belief and that also has long term effects in terms of your energy. So in order to elevate your energy you have to elevate your thinking.
Firstly, identify what you are feeling, give it a name, feel it in your body. A lot of us try to resist negative emotions, but that just works against us in the long run, because it will just pop up in some other area of our live.
Secondly, identify what you are thinking that causes the feeling. It is never something outside of you, but rather your thought about that thing that causes your feelings.
Thirdly, identify if it gives you energy or drains your energy.
Step four is to decide what feeling you would like to feel instead. What emotion will lead you to your goal or to the future you.
Pick your good feeling word
Could it be elegant, confident, loving, grateful, determined, optimistic….? Pick your good feeling word. Step five is coming up with thoughts that will support your good feeling word. “I dress elegantly every day”, “I’ve got this”, “Let’s go”….Once you have some thoughts to back up your feeling, practice them regularly, this is how you get good at it.

Let’s look at your environment.
You can find yourself in any environment, but can you plant yourself there and grow? Some people may find that their environment is less than ideal, but you can bloom where you are planted until you can move to a more desirable place.  Look around you, can you change things in your environment to your liking? Remember everything has energy, so things can elevate your energy or drain it.
Places – every place, city or house has an energy. Does it energise or drain you? Thoughts around places that will drain your energy are: staying and complaining or leaving and doubting your decision. So, either remove yourself from that place if possible or improve it!
People – similarly have their own energy based on their own thoughts. When someones’ energy is out of alignment with where you want to be, this can drain your energy. You have the same options here, remove yourself or improve your thoughts about the person.
Things – all things have energy. Look at the things in your house. Do you have clutter, things lying about, or do you have fresh flowers and good music playing? Imagine how your future self wants to live, what does she surround herself with? From now on only choose items that are in alignment with who you want to be.
Physical Energy
Lastly, let’s discuss your physical energy. It is no surprise that you need to move, do exercise, walk, go to the gym, whatever movement works for you. Get the momentum going. In the same line, you also need to feed your body with good, healthy, nutritious meals.
Think about a car running on petrol, you can’t put water or cooldrink or juice in the car, it won’t get very far at all. Your car runs on petrol or diesel, so that is what you fill up with. Also you have to fill up regularly or your car will die. So feed your body regularly with healthy foods and water to keep an optimal level of energy.
I know a lot of you have health issues, as do I, and it is often not as easy to eat well as we are often too ill to take good care of ourselves or even if we do manage to eat well, it takes a long time to get to good energy levels. Every little bit helps, and the tiny steps every single day is what gets you there. Listen to your body and it will let you know exactly what it needs.
Your clothing also has a lot to do with your energy levels. Wear clothes that your future self would choose, that look good on you and make you feel elegant. Don’t forget comfort, it is possible to look exquisite and be comfortable. Get rid of all your stained, ill-fitting and grungy clothing and live into the woman you want to be.
To live your best life, take notice of what gives you energy and embrace it!!!
