Living in the contrast

There is a difference between getting through your life and actually feeling alive in it.

As parents of autistic children, we can become incredibly good at functioning. We organise, advocate, anticipate, manage, support and solve. But underneath all that competence, it can become very easy to lose sight of ourselves.

In this episode of Living Inspired with Autism, I’m talking about aliveness, contrast and what happens when we stop waiting for life to calm down before we allow ourselves to live.

We explore where you may be under-living, why resisting what is happening can drain so much of your energy, and how accepting the reality of a moment can bring you back to choice.

This isn’t about pretending life is easy or becoming endlessly positive. It’s about learning to hold the difficult parts of your life without allowing them to become the whole story.

Your child matters. Your family matters. And you matter too.

I also share more about my From Chaos to Choice Masterclass, where we’ll explore how to create more space between what happens and what you do next, so you can respond with greater clarity, intention and choice.
