My Story

I’m Antoinette Freedgood, your hostess and a passionate advocate for embracing life’s challenges with grace, learning from every experience, and nurturing the spirit of those navigating the intricate paths of parenting special needs children.
My journey began with a breathtaking twist—a precious arrival 12 weeks earlier than expected. That was the day I met Max, my resilient, tenacious, and endlessly joyous son. His arrival wasn’t just an event; it was the genesis of countless life lessons that awaited me.
Max’s journey began in the hospital, spending nine months in the ICU, navigating a maze of diagnoses, surgeries, and transfusions. During those challenging times, I discovered reservoirs of strength within myself that I never knew existed.
Despite the hurdles, Max’s spirit shone brightly. Even on oxygen for an additional six months after coming home, he thrived. His delayed milestones didn’t dim his joyfulness, and he remained an absolute delight.
