What with the holidays coming up, even the most healthy and disciplined of us tend to overeat.  There are so many delicious goodies on display that we can’t help ourselves.  I love a bit of Xmas cake with lots of cherries.  For some, it’s the Xmas meal with gammon or a braai.  Yummy.

Instead of doing what you have always done over the holiday season, by overeating, overdrinking and generally not looking after yourself, why not change the pattern this year?  The tips above, you can use to prevent overeating and it is important to also have a good reason for focusing on your health.  Perhaps you are actually not well and following the tips may assist you in not worsening your health.

Why not sell yourself on focusing on your health this month

For me it is, I will have more energy to play with my son, I will feel more vibrant.  This can also include giving yourself plenty of rest, staying out of stressful situations.  This can be quite an issue especially when the whole family is together, there is bound to be some scuffles with the variety of personalities.  You do not have to get involved and it may be a good idea to have your healthy boundaries in place.

Don’t be the woman who leaves your health commitments to January.  Start now and you will miss that dreaded January 1st resolution.
